Elvin Dioquino
Founder & President
Elvin Dioquino is the Artistic and Executive Director of Voices of Terpsichor. Voices of Terpsichor was established on July 2nd of 2024. He decided to create a professional ensemble that promoted the beauty of choral music, and also focused on the philanthropic side to help the communities around Southern California. This year alone, we were able to help the unhoused people of Orange County, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Long Beach Music Department, and the victims of the Southern California fires.
Elvin moved to California in 2022 to pursue a different passion. He currently works as the Director and Coordinator of Care Art Homecare, and oversees the entire region of Orange County. Their mission is to help people such as the elderly, disabled, and anyone that is in need of one-on-one care.
Before California, Elvin lived in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Arizona State University, and studied under the tutelage of Dr. Brook Larson and Dr. Gregory Gentry for choral conducting, and Dr. Jeffrey Jones and Dr. Robert Barefield for voice. He was a member of Arizona Opera and Phoenix Opera, and was involved in multiple choral ensembles such as Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus, Scottsdale Choral Artists, and more. He has performed with Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Lea Salonga, Andrea Bocelli and other various International singers. He has been in several choral and opera recordings that can be heard on multiple platforms.
Elvin is a professional ballroom dancer and teacher. He has taught and competed in prestigious companies such as Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire for more than a decade, and is a gold certified dance instructor. He was awarded as the Top Teacher in 2017 for the whole Region of Arizona. He competed professionally with multiple dance partners in all different styles of ballroom dancing, and has won numerous titles in his professional career. He has studied under the coaching of Igor Ustymovych, Nataliia Biedniagina, Roman Myrkin, Bob Powers, Valentina Kostenko, Forrest Vance, Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani, Bruno Collins Trillieci, Ilya Ifraimov, Artem Plakhotnyi, Jenell Maranto, Damir Karaman, Andre and Natalie Paramonov, and much more. Music and dance were always intertwined in his journey as a professional.
As a humanitarian, Elvin started benefit concerts and charity events for different organizations in Arizona. Whether it was a concert or a contest for a charity, he has always been a part of the creative and artistic process and development to help people in need. Voices of Terpsichor is his first nonprofit organization in California.
Besides working in Healthcare, Elvin is also a dance teacher at La Vida Dance Studio. He loves teaching beginner to advanced students who are dedicated to their own learning and growth. He is an active professional singer and voice teacher in Southern California. He is currently the Bass Soloist and Section Leader at the First Presbyterian Church of Orange.
