Elvin Dioquino

Founder & President

Elvin Dioquino is the Artistic and Executive Director of Voices of Terpsichor, a professional ensemble he founded on July 2nd, 2024. His vision was to create a group that not only celebrates the beauty of choral music but also uplifts communities through philanthropy. In its first year alone, Voices of Terpsichor has supported unhoused individuals in Orange County, the Music Department of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Long Beach, and victims of the Southern California fires.

Elvin relocated to California in 2022 to pursue a new passion. He currently serves as the Director of Care Art Homecare, overseeing operations across Orange County. The organization’s mission is to assist seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone in need of one-on-one care.

Before moving to California, Elvin lived in Phoenix, Arizona. He studied at Arizona State University under the guidance of Dr. Brook Larson and Dr. Gregory Gentry in choral conducting, as well as Dr. Jeffrey Jones and Dr. Robert Barefield in voice. He performed with Arizona Opera and Phoenix Opera and participated in several choral ensembles including the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus, and Scottsdale Choral Artists. Over the years, he has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Lea Salonga, Andrea Bocelli, and other international performers. His work appears on multiple choral and opera recordings available across various platforms.

Elvin is also a professional ballroom dancer and instructor. For more than a decade, he has taught and competed with prestigious companies such as Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire, earning his gold-level teaching certification. In 2017, he was recognized as the Top Teacher for the entire Arizona Region. He has competed professionally with multiple partners across all styles of ballroom dance and has earned numerous titles throughout his career. His dance training includes coaching from Igor Ustymovych, Nataliia Biedniagina, Roman Myrkin, Bob Powers, Valentina Kostenko, Forrest Vance, Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani, Bruno Collins Trillieci, Ilya Ifraimov, Artem Plakhotnyi, Jenell Maranto, Damir Karaman, Andre and Natalie Paramonov, among many others. Music and dance have always been deeply connected throughout his artistic journey.

As a humanitarian, Elvin has organized benefit concerts and charity events for various organizations in Arizona. Whether producing concerts or coordinating competitions for charitable causes, he has consistently been involved in the creative process to support those in need. Voices of Terpsichor is his first nonprofit organization in California.

In addition to his work in healthcare, Elvin teaches ballroom dance at La Vida Dance Studio, where he enjoys working with students of all levels who are committed to growth and learning. He remains an active professional singer and voice instructor in Southern California and currently serves as the Bass Soloist and Section Leader at the First Presbyterian Church of Orange.
