Gracyn Blu
Alto 2
Described as a “maven of multifacetation” and a “creative force to be reckoned with,” Gracyn Blu (mezzo-soprano) is a Los Angeles–based vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans choral music, pop, and opera. Their vocal artistry is rooted in classical training—earning a B.F.A. in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University—but shaped by a lifelong curiosity across genres. Her voice is known for its warmth, clarity, and adaptability, with a range that allows her to move fluidly between soprano and alto.
Gracyn’s love for choral music began early, sparked by the experience of singing with the ACDA national treble choir. Gracyn has performed as a soloist with the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh, College Light Opera Company, and more. In Los Angeles, they sing with the Lighted Window Festival Choir and other sacred ensembles across the city. Gracyn is also a roster artist with Pacific Opera Project, appearing regularly in recitals and outreach programs.
Alongside their classical work, Gracyn is a songwriter and producer with a special eye to vocal composition, arrangement, and production. Gracyn’s music blends emotional storytelling with alt-pop production. Her background in choral singing informs her distinct approach to vocal layering and harmony, and her artistic practice reflects a belief that genre boundaries are meant to be crossed. A two-time encouragement award recipient in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, Gracyn brings a wide-ranging, collaborative spirit to every musical space they enter.
