Katelyn Dietz

Katelyn Dietz is a multi-genre professional vocalist based in Los Angeles, California. As an ensemble enthusiast, she has been a member of prestigious groups like GRAMMY Award-winning The Swingles, Tonality, Border CrosSing, C3LA, Laude, and LORICA, part of the ANÚNA choral family. Known widely for her versatility, Katelyn has trained extensively in classical/choral, vocal jazz, pop, musical theatre, and Irish traditional folk styles. She serves as a staff singer and section leader at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles and around the holidays, she can be heard across Southern California in groups like The Other Reindeer Carolers, The Candlelight Carolers, The Holly Belles, and her own holiday entertainment company, HoliDuos. Originally from Rochester, NY, she graduated summa cum laude from both the State University of New York at Fredonia with Bachelor’s degrees in Theatre and Voice and Western Michigan University with her Master's of Music in Vocal Jazz Performance. While at WMU, she was the Teaching Assistant for the Vocal Jazz department and the world-renowned Gold Company program and earned three Downbeat Student Music Awards for Blues/Pop/Rock Soloist, Vocal Jazz Arrangement, and Large Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Katelyn continues to serve as Camp Manager for the WMU New York Voices Vocal Jazz Camp every summer and is also an accomplished copyist and a cappella arranger, with her own sheet music editing service, The Transpository. Katelyn is also a staunch human, animal, and environmental rights activist and enjoys volunteering in her spare time.
